The Launceston Health Hub represents a standout example of how glazing can be used not only as a functional
building element, but as a defining architectural feature within a complex healthcare environment. The project
successfully combines large-scale curtain wall systems, automated entry solutions, and internal glazed partitions to
create a seamless transition between spaces, maximising natural light, enhancing user experience, and reinforcing
the importance of glazing in modern healthcare design.
A key point of difference is the incorporation of custom-designed double glazed units featuring coloured, DNAinspired linework embedded within the façade. This innovative design element transforms the curtain wall glazing
into a visual representation of the building’s healthcare purpose, demonstrating how glazing can contribute to
storytelling and identity within commercial architecture.
